Projects
Since our founding, we have been engaged in various projects to help people in the US and overseas. See a sample of our projects below.

Helping a brother or sister in need
After the monthly fundraiser, we send money to several individuals and families around the country to help with everyday needs. We also help to buy food and supplies for students in The Gambia and Senegal.

Healthcare
We helped to provide personal protective equipment (PPE) and other health care items to a health center in The Gambia.

Clean Drinking Water
Through the Welfare Team, some members sponsored the digging of solar-powered boreholes to provide clean drinking water to some communities in The Gambia.

Banjul Mortuary
The only mortuary in Banjul, the capital city of The Gambia, was in great need for air conditioners, supplies to prepare the deceased for burial and coffins. We quickly raised money and helped out. We also helped build another mortuary at Bakoteh Layout, a town outside the city.

Banjul Cemetery
Every year at the end of the rainy season, volunteers cut the grass at the cemetery, most of the time with cutlasses. We bought them equipment to make their work easy.

Eidul Adha/ Tobaski
According to salaryexplorer.com, the median salary in The Gambia is 16,500 GMD (about $330, based on an exchange rate of 50 GMD = $1). Some of the cheapest rams were selling for D15,000. This meant that getting a ram for the Eid was a challenge for many people. We raised money and helped about 20 families buy a ram for the Eid.
